- Double Dutch/Assistant Program Director @143

I started off as a Jammin Jumper in 2012 before I became a Swagga Jumper in 2016. I had a singles team being a Jammin Jumper and joining the Swagga Jumpers allowed me to have a doubles team. I was able to become a  World Champion in June of 2018, Placing 1st in the High School Division at World Championships. With all of the experience I have gained over the years from Ms.K and as well as Ms.Payne I am able to now coach Double Dutch at different schools which we call off-site programs. I teach the fundamentals of Double Dutch and I am able to put together singles and doubles teams with children that want a chance to compete against others. Besides Double Dutch, being apart of Ms.K's Dance Academy has given me many opportunities, such as performing at Barclays Center, Nike City Pro Tournament, be in paid commercials/ads, and as well as being extras on a movie/show set, all of which grew my Resume and will help with future castings. Outside of the Dance Academy, I am a college student, attending NYC College of Technology pursuing my studies in  nursing.

- Hip-Hop/Jazz Instructor Co-Choreographer for Loop Squad

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. My first ever performance was at 4 years old, I’ve been dancing ever since, and it has become my life. My dance training came from the street. I picked up movement everywhere I went, whether it be a house party, a performance, or school program. In high school I became co-captain of the cheerleading team, and created choreography for team performances. At 15 I got my first job teaching dance, and joined I.C.U Movin Dancers, and later on, at 21, I founded my own after school dance program and performance team at P.S. 221, bringing Hip Hop and Jazz to the school for 5 years. The program was recognized and featured on NY1. In high school, you couldn’t tell me that I wasn’t going to be the best nurse around, but dance has definitely taken my life on an unexpected journey. It’s an art form that brings me immense joy and I want to share my gift with the younger generation. I’ve now had the pleasure of working Tropical Fete, Mark Morris Dance Center, Brooklyn Steppers, and now Ms. K’s Dance Academy for the past year, bringing my talents to the table for her children’s programs, and Loop Squad!

She has been a part of the Loop Squad family since generation 1, where they secured the winning title at Battle in the Apple. Since then, she has moved on to teach at Ms K’s Double Dutch and Dance Academy for the past 3 years. This class has been one of thee most popular classes for two consecutive years. Taking a dance class with Ms. Keisha means growth for the dancer while having lots of fun. She is very hard-working, dedicated, and committed to her craft.
